AQUA PUTTY

This is the Pliogrip Epoxy based fast curing unique and trowable putty compound. It is a two component (Resin & Hardener) system that can work even under high humidity and /or on wet surfaces. Substrates like wood, concrete, steel, iron, aluminum, and certain plastics can be bonded using this putty. This system is used to repair and restore worn out and damaged parts, which are then quickly brought back to service.

Product Characteristics:

Low Exotherm(low heat generation & while curing).

100% solid compound with very low shrinkage.

Excellent resistance to most of the common acid, alkalies and marine water.

Curable at even low ambient temperatures.

No warpage & stresses in the substrates due to low exotherm and ambient temperature curing.

No speciality machines and skilled workers are required in the application.

Can be used on pipelines carrying water, chemicals & where welding is not possible.

Applications:

(i) Sealing of Pipelines and tanks

(ii) Boat repairing

(iii) Adhesion of different substrates that may be wet and/or At low ambient temperatures.

Packing : 1) 500 gms. Kit 2) 1000 gms. Kit 3) 5 Kgs Kit.

Surface Preparation : It is absolutely necessary that the surface to be repaired is to be free from oil, rust, dust & wax. If the surface is not clean, it will affect the bond strength adversely. Following methods of surface preparation are suggested.

1) Sand or shot blasting if possible.

2) Chipping out rust by scrapers, wire brushes and emery papers.

3) To remove oil and grease, use cleaner / conditioner.

Mixing : It is necessary to adhere to the recommended ratio of resin and hardener.

Take desired quantity of resin and hardenerand mix them thoroughly (mix colour must be uniform). Use the mixed product within recommended working time. Apply the mixed product to the surface slowly without trapping air. Allow it to cure sufficiently before applying operational conditions.

Note: Change in Hardener ratio will not affect cure time, but the properties of the final product.
