PLIOGRIP EPOXY RESIN PER 501 AND PLIOGRIP HARDENER PH 973 IN FRP FOR FILAMENT - WINDING APPLICATION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

EPOXY I AROMATIC AMINE SYSTEM FOR FILAMENT WINDING

Frequently used curing agent in this system is meta-phenylenediamine (MPDA). In this case pot life is much longer than that for hand lay-up system and curing is at elevated temperatures. The filament winding technique is one of the most important methods of producing structural epoxide laminates. The main application of this process is in the production of pipes and pressure vessels which are engineering structures that require close tolerances. The filament winding technique consists of impregnating continuous glass rovings or tape with the resin-hardener mix followed by winding on a mandrel having the shape of the final product.
